The Difference in Approach: Each Student IS an Artist!

Jenny creates an upbeat and light yet serious working atmosphere that supports the focus on the subject at hand.  There are mentoring relationships between the older and younger students and the instructor.

Each student works indepentantly on subject of their choosing.

Jenny uses the current student work as well as “master works” to support and illustrate ideas for others in the class.  Each artist has something to teach another.  It’s all very stimulating.  The result is more sharing and more discussion of ideas between the artists.

Mike and I are so grateful for the art classes that you offer.  Not only has John leaned and matured artistically with your instruction, but these lessons have , correspondingly, helped his self-confidence grow.  He will put almost anything else aside just so that he will not miss a single art class.  Art class is the highlight of his week.

Also, when we lay out his final projects sequentially, the improvements from one project to the next are unquestionably obvious.  For instance, the Chairman of the Art Department at Flagler College in St. Augustine, Florida was amazed by John’s work.  He said that mature, trained artists art often not able to achieve the perspective, depth and shading and proportions that John consistently achieves in his work.  Even Ray Ellis, the nationally famed artist, was impressed with the quality of John’s work.   He wrote to John, “You are well on your way.”  Since John has had no art training other the classes that he has taken with you, it is clear that your instruction is the reason why he has been able to develop this talent so quickly (less than 2 years).

Your art classes have been a priceless investment for John’s talent, personal happiness and his growth as an individual.  Thank you again.
