I know some of you have been waiting a while for this…but the Egg in Nest Art Studio Summer Camp Schedule is now posted on the website and I will post it at the end of this blog update too, so you don’t have to go searching too far for it.
The Nasher Museum of Art at Duke presently has an exhibit focused on Alexander Calder and his influence on contemporary artists http://www.nasher.duke.edu/calder/ open until June 17th. It inspired Jenny to run a camp called “Calder, Kandinsky, and Krasner: Studies in Abstract Art” for her K-8th grade crowd. Not only will she examine abstract techniques, but the kids will be making their own versions of Calder mobiles!
Ready for more? Read below to find out. And if you have any questions use the contact form at the bottom of this page or call Jenny at (919) 632-1983. Or you can e-mail me, Amanda, at [email protected]

(There very well might be paint splattering involved as well…so be prepared!)
